Whitman College Mortar Board Records, 1924-1986

The collection consists of scrapbooks, correspondence, membership rosters, advisor handbooks and chapter manuals, dance cards, event programs and copies of "The Mortar Board Quarterly". A written history of the Whitman College chapter along with newspaper clippings, a freshman honor roll scroll, gavel, music and mortar board from this honor society that began on the Whitman campus as a women's organization, became co-educational and dissolved, in 1985 to become the Order of Waiilatpu, are also included.
