Biographical Note

William Norbert Bischoff was born in 1916 in Yakima, Washington. He was a Jesuit priest and received his ordination in 1947. He was a professor of history at Gonzaga University in the 1950s. He then worked at Seattle University until his death in 1991.

The William Bischoff Papers consists of correspondence with Jerome Peletier, a monthly newsletter booklet called "The Month at Goodspeed's," and news clippings. These papers, which date from 1946 to 1957, also contain subscription letters to "The Oregon Jesuit."
